Now Trending: Men's Engagement Rings
Do men wear engagement rings? Yes! A new trend has started to catch on where men are now wearing engagement rings. I mean, it makes sense right? It's the same commitment for both parties involved...so why not?
Notable men who wore engagement rings:
- Ed Sheeran
- Michael Buble
- Johnny Depp
- Charlie Sheen
- David Otunga
- Skylar Astin
- Osi Umenyiora
If you think we're crazy for even suggesting it, just take a look back at singer/songwriter, Ed Sheeran. He walked out onto the red carpet sporting an engagement ring in 2018. The trend in the United States itself dates back to the 1920's (although it wasn't widely popular then), but to some, it's actually a tradition. In other cultures, like Argentina, Chile, and Sweden, it's common practice for both the men and women to wear engagement rings. Whether you choose to wear it because of your heritage or because you just like the idea-that's totally up to you (and we fully support your decision!)
Now what does a man's engagement ring look like? Well, that varies just as widely as the trend itself! Some men choose to go with diamonds, others with an ornately designed metal band, and some with a simpler classic band. The style itself should reflect the man, so it's really your personal preference! Some of our favorite men's bands mix traditional and alternative metals, like Benchmark's Ammara Stone collection. Their rings range from classic to ornate, with everything from Diamonds to Wood or Meteorite inlays in between.
Five of Our Favorite Ammara Stone Rings:
1. The Troy
This beautifully textured Tantalum and 14K Gold band is perfect for someone who wants a subtle hint of color. The Troy comes in either white, rose, or yellow gold on the inside of the ring so you can choose to keep it monochromatic, or have a nice pop of color depending on which gold you choose.
2. The Rhaegal
For the Game of Thrones and fantasy lovers out there, this is the absolute perfect ring! In the center lies a beautifully ornate dragon scale pattern in either white, rose, or yellow gold, surrounded by thick Tantalum edges. Benchmark has absolutely nailed all of their dragon scale rings and offers a variety of options with this same pattern.
3. The Gallery
This ring is absolutely stunning in person! Think kaleidoscope meets metal for this visually appealing masterpiece. Benchmark offers this ring in many different variations so you'll just have to check out which one is right for you. This ring is definitely a must-see and is bound to be noticed by everyone.
4. The Dynasty
Mokume-gane is a Japanese technique which produces distinctive layered patterns. The Dynasty offers this same look with what they call "faux-mokume". It is probably one of the most unique and subtle patterns out there, so if you aren't looking for something too flashy, yet still extremely elegant, this ring is the perfect fit.
5. The Blade
The unique Damascus Steel pattern makes every ring different. The subtle ring-in-ring design of The Blade allows you to keep it monochromatic with a white gold interior, or add a subtle pop of color with the rose or yellow gold.
Top 3 Men's Diamond Engagement Rings:

Simply elegant and offered in a variety of metal combinations, The Marquis sports 9 channel-set diamonds that are bound to grab attention.
2. The Lancelot
The Lancelot is a bit more subtle than the Marquis, and is offered in white, rose, or yellow gold. The center swirl pattern is a beautiful contrast to the 100 diamonds surrounding the beveled edges.
3. The Alexander
One elegant diamond is inlaid in the center of The Alexander for a truly classic look.
